Cheeky Monkey Photography combines 15 years of photographic experience with chasing after 2 toddlers! The resulting enterprise is a unique photographic studio that captures the essence of your child. At Cheeky Monkey, we pride ourselves on portraying your little wonders as they really are - inquisitive, full of life, and yes… even a little bit cheeky!

All photography and digital post-production work at Cheeky Monkey is done by Anya Karmansky. Her diverse photographic career provides Cheeky Monkey's images with a unique style. Having worked in advertising, PR and automotive industries, as well as live music, portrait and wedding photography, Anya has no shortage of tricks of the trade or styles to borrow from. Anya's formal training includes a Bachelor of Photography degree from JCU. Her subsequent work in Sydney’s advertising industry has honed her digital postproduction skills to a level, considerably above the industry standard.

Anya's instant rapport with children is evident from the first introductions. Always having strong ties to her inner child, Anya's understanding of the world of children is now being aided by raising two cheeky monkeys of her own.

Here, at Cheeky Monkey Photography, we believe newborns and babies under 1yo look their best wearing nothing at all (before those lovely folds all but disappear)! Accordingly, we love photographing them in our studios, where we can control both the lighting and the climate conditions. As they grow and start exploring the world, we prefer photographing them in their natural surroundings-outside, in the nature! However, all kids are different and all families are different, and the ultimate choice of location lies with the client.

As the final output, we supply a range of products to suit every wallet and every house – from fully retouched digital files you can print yourself, to prints on metallic paper, canvas prints, collages and even magazine-style coffee-table books! You are welcome to see samples of all during your viewing session at our studios, about a week after the photoshoot.

Here, at Cheeky Monkey Photography, we love following kids’ progress as they grow! Accordingly, any subsequent sessions, booked within 12 months of the original one, are FREE OF CHARGE!
